Christensen Named Honorable Mention All-Big West

IRVINE, Calif. —The Big West Conference announced its men's basketball all-conference selections Tuesday as picked by the league coaches with Rainbow Warrior Tanner Christensen earning honorable mention.

The 6-10 center finished the season leading the team in rebounding (6.9), field goal percentage (.599) and blocks (22). After transferring from Utah Tech, Christensen made an immediate impact, being named the Rainbow Classic Most Outstanding Player and Big West Player of the Week after the team's opening weekend of play. A week later he scored a season-high 25 points on 10-of-11 shooting in an overtime win over Weber State.

In conference games, Christensen was the team's top scorer at 11.0 ppg, while leading the team and ranking sixth in the Big West in rebounding (6.7). He also co-led the team in double-doubles with three. The native of Spokane Valley, Wash., was the only player to start all 31 games this season and concluded his five-year collegiate career having started 124 times in 144 overall games.
