HONOLULU--The University of Hawai'i men's and women's swimming and diving teams open the new year hosting a pair of dual meets against BYU (Saturday, Jan. 3) and Pacific Lutheran (Monday, Jan. 5) at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatics Complex.

Both the men's and women's teams return to open the new year by hosting two home meets after ending 2025 with a dual match vs. Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah in late December. The Rainbow Wahine posted 15 podium finishes--including five event victories en route to falling at the Ute Natatorium, 126-98.
Leading Hawai'i were
Tim Brown and
Quincy Key, who both earned their first career Big West Athlete of the Week awards on Tuesday. Brown
won the 50 free, blazing to a 20.78 finish to out touch second by 0.24 seconds. Brown also helped to lead the Rainbow Warriors to a pair of silver finishes in relays. He anchored the 200 medley relay with a split of 20.09 and then finishing the meet by swimming the second leg of the 200 free relay second leg at 19.87 for the fastest splits of the competition in both relays. Senior Karol Ostrowski also claimed individual gold, winning the 100 free with a time of 44.74. Ostrowski also swam the leadoff leg of the 200 medley relay with Brown that finished in second.
Key helped lead the Rainbow Wahine to a pair of relay victories while claiming bronze individually in the 50 free (23.82). In the 200 medley relay, the speedster swam the anchor leg in the fastest split of the competition (22.93) to help UH win by nearly a full second. Hawai'i also won gold in the 200 free relay with Key swimming the second leg with a split of 23.21 as UH cruised to a 1:35.56 winning time. Senior
Holly Nelson captured two golds in the 100 free individual and the 200 free relay while finishing with the silver right behind Key in the 50 free.
In men's diving,
Juan Esteban Ramirez Tamayo won gold in the 1-meter with a score of 329.19 and silver in the 3-meter with a score of 355.80 to continue to lead the Rainbow Warriors. On the women's side,
Lovisa Gustavsson was UH's top Rainbow Wahine, clinching bronze in the 3-meter (308.18) while finishing fourth in the 1-meter (266.85).
A total of 10 seniors (five men and five women) will be celebrated after Monday's Senior Night dual match vs. PLU. For the men's team, the seniors are:
