Sophie Rachor and
Grete Gull continued their strong run through the doubles brackets, upsetting the second-seeded team to advance to Monday's semifinal round at the Aztec Tennis Complex on the campus of San Diego State.
Rachor, a senior transfer from Concordia Irvine, and Gull, who is a true freshman from Kuressaare, Estonia, upset Pepperdine's 21
st-ranked Alexia Harmon and Anastasiia Grechkin of Pepperdine, 8-5.
In consolation singles action, UH's
Emma Forgac shut out San Diego's Kristina Nordikyan in the deciding third set for a solid win, 6-2, 4-6, 6-0.
