QUICK HITSLAST WEEKÂ - For the third-straight week, UH has had its weekend schedule altered due to inclement weather. Two weeks ago at UC San Diego, the threat of rain pushed their doubleheader to Friday which UH and UCSD split. The teams were unable to play the single game due to heavy rains. Last week, UH's single game on Friday night vs. CSUN was halted due to constant rain. The Rainbow Wahine and Matadors resumed the first game on Saturday as UH held off CSUN, 3-2. The two teams then played the second game which CSUN edged out UH, 6-5. The third game was not played. This week in the Inland Empire, rains are expected to roll in on Saturday, so the doubleheader has been pushed to Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m. HT. The single game is now scheduled for Saturday at 10:00 a.m. HT.
RAINBOW POWER -Â Hawai'i continues to lead the Big West with a total of 28 home runs--14 more than the next team, CSUN who has 14 homers on the season. UH also leads the Big West with a .410 slugging percentage. Three Rainbow Wahine are second in the league with seven home runs apiece--
Chloe Borges,
Mya'Liah Bethea and
Maya Nakamura. In all, seven different UH players have recorded at least one home run this season.
BORGES RISING - Junior centerfielder/pitcher

DARE TO RUN - Junior catcher
Izabella Martinez is ranked No. 1 in the conference and No. 3 in the NCAA throwing out 13 runners trying to steal on her on defense. On offense she got off to a slow start in the non-conference games, but has caught fire in the Big West, hitting .367 with a team0high 11 hits in 30 at-bats.Â
MURAMOTOÂ COMES THROUGH IN RELIEF - True freshman

She entered the game in the bottom of the first as Nakamura went down with an injury at the end of the top of the first. Not only did she do well on defense, but she blasted her first collegiate home run--a three-run bomb--to see-saw into a 3-2 lead over the Mustangs. UH would eventually fall to CP, 6-5.
