HONOLULU--The University of Hawai'i softball team (4-11) concludes its preseason schedule hosting the OUTRIGGER Rainbow Wahine Classic from Wednesday, March 6-Sunday, March 10. Hawai'i will battle Cleveland State, UConn, and New Mexico in the five-day tournament. All games will be played at the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium where admission is FREE.

QUICK HITS
LAST WEEK...
- The Rainbow Wahine went 3-2 last week their Spring Fling Tournament, posting a win against Tennessee State and two "W's" against Portland State to finish in third place.
- UH's junior centerfielder/pitcher Chloe Borges and senior first baseman Dallas Millwood both earned All-Tournament Team honors. Borges hit .273 (3-for-11) with her three hits all being home runs. She has launched homers in four of her last six games played starting against No. 5 Tennessee in UH's final game in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic. In the tourney, she had a team-best 1.091 slugging percentage. Borges is tied for the league lead with four home runs this season.
- Millwood led UH at the plate hitting .444 for the tourney. She was 4-for-9 with a double and three RBI which were all driven in in the finale vs. Portland State. She also led UH with a .571 on-base % as she reached first safely with her four hits, two walks, two hit-by-pitches, and a sacrifice fly.
PITCHERS SETTLING DOWN
- Although overall UH's team ERA is 6.01, last week the 'Bows buckled down to record a team ERA of 2.14. Millie Fidge is coming into her own. Last week, she posted a 1-1 record in two relief appearances. She recorded a team-best 0.88 ERA in eight innings allowing four runs--just one earned-- on five hits with five strike outs and four walks. She held opponents to a a team-best .179 batting average.
- UH starter Key-Annah Campbell-Pua was solid in her two appearances. She earned her first win of the season in the tourney opener against Tennessee State. Campbell-Pua fired a complete game and took a perfect game into the fifth inning retiring the first 13-straight batters. For the game, she gave up just one run on five hits with two walks and two K's. In her second appearance also came against TSU, she did not equate in the decision, but she got the first nine-straight batters of the game out to start. She gave up one run on two hits with a walk and a strikeout. Overall, she is now 1-3 with a 5.12 ERA.
- Junior transfer pitcher Addison Kostrencich earned her second complete-game victory this season in an 8-2 win in UH's tourney finale vs. Portland State. For the week, she went 1-0 with 10.0 innings pitched. She gave up five runs on 15 hits with zero walks and two strikeouts for a 2.80 ERA in the tournament.
OFFENSE GETTING ON TRACK
- Designated player/catcher Haley Johnson hit .353 last week with a pair of doubles and a home run while going 6-for-17 at the plate. She raised her overall batting average to .310 for the season and she leads UH with four doubles. Johnson is currently on a six-game hitting streak and she leads UH with three multiple-hit games.
- Senior third baseman Ka'ena Keliinoi has been clutch with runners on base with a team-high eight RBI and team-best three multiple-RBI games. She is hitting .222 overall with three doubles and a home run.
- Mya'Liah Bethea has scored a team-best seven runs. She has reached base safely in 11 of UH's 15 games played thus far. At the plate, she is hitting .250 (9-for-36) with two doubles and three home runs.
