HONOLULU – The No. 5 University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team closes out its home schedule with a two-match Big West series against No. 20 UC Santa Barbara, Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30 at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. The Rainbow Warriors (18-4, 1-3 BWC) have dropped three of their last four matches following a series split with CSUN last week in Honolulu. The Gauchos (7-14, 0-5) enter the series having lost their last four matches and are 0-5 in Big West play this season.

FIRST SERVE
- Following Saturday's match, UH will honor six seniors during the traditional Senior Night ceremony — Guilherme Voss, Chaz Galloway, Spyros Chakas, Alaka'i Todd, Kevin Kauling, and Austin Buchanan.
- Voss has started 111-of-114 matches played in his career while Galloway made 86 starts in 96 career matches played. Prior to his injury, Chakas started 80-of-92 career matches. The six seniors have a combined 302 career starts.
- UH dropped to No. 5 in this week's AVCA poll. Hawai'i is outside the Top 4 for the first time since the final poll of the 2018 season, a span of 91 consecutive weeks.
- UH (18-4, 1-3 BWC) is 15-2 at home this season and saw a 14-match home win streak come to an end following a four-set loss to CSUN on Saturday.
- UH leads the all-time series with UC Santa Barbara, 60-37 which includes a current 16-match win streak dating back to 2017. UH's last loss to the Gauchos occurred during the 2016 season (April 1 & 2 in Santa Barbara, Calif.).
- UH also holds a 30-16 advantage in Honolulu, including a current nine-match home win streak dating back to 2015. The Gauchos took both matches in Honolulu during the 2013 campaign.
- Head coach Charlie Wade has a 20-10 record against UCSB.
