HONOLULU — The University of Hawai'i women's basketball team will close out the home schedule this week with Big West matchups with UC Davis on Thursday, Feb. 29 and UC Riverside on Saturday, March 2 at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
Both games are scheduled to tipoff at 7 p.m.
The Rainbow Wahine (16-9, 13-3 Big West) enter the week alone atop the conference standings and will face two teams tied for third in the race in UC Davis (15-12, 11-6) and UC Riverside (16-11, 11-6).
Following the home finale on Saturday, UH will celebrate Show'UHM Your Aloha Senior Night by honoring guards

UH lost to both of this week's opponents earlier in the season. UC Davis pulled away from the 'Bows in the fourth quarter in a 61-51 win on Feb. 10 in Davis, Calif. UC Riverside handed UH its first loss of the Big West season, 66-58, on Jan. 13 in Riverside.

TIPOFF
• UH enters this week's play alone in first place in the Big West standings, one game ahead of UC Irvine (12-4), with four games remaining in the regular season. UC Riverside and UC Davis are next at 11-6.
• UC Davis has won the last two meetings with UH and takes a 16-12 lead in the series into Thursday's matchup. The teams are tied at 7-7 in games played in Honolulu.
• The Aggies won the first meeting of the season 61-51 on Feb. 10 at University Credit Union Center in Davis, Calif. UH led 31-21 at halftime, but UC Davis shot 63.6% in the second half to rally past the 'Bows.
• The Rainbow Wahine are coming off of an 80-68 win at Long Beach State on Saturday. UH posted its highest point total of the season behind guard Daejah Phillips' career-high 29 points.
• Phillips shot 12 for 14 from the field at LBSU and was named the Big West Player of the Week for the second time in the last four weeks.
• Phillips moved into the team scoring lead by raising her average to 11.0 points per game. Guard Lily Wahinekapu is next at 10.9 points per game.
• UC Davis guard Evanne Turner leads the Aggies and ranks seventh in the conference with 13.31 points per game followed by Tova Sabel at 12.41 ppg.
• UC Davis ranks third in the Big West in scoring offense at 62.12 points per game. UH is second in the conference in scoring defense with 56.48 points allowed per game.
• The UH defense is holding opponents to a league-low 36.8% shooting from the field. UC Davis' shooting percentage of 42.3% ranks second in the Big West.
PROTECTING 'THE STAN'
• The Rainbow Wahine are 11-3 overall at home this season —including 8-0 in Big West play — and have won nine in a row in Manoa entering ther final homestand of the regular season. UH last won their first eight conference home games in the 2014-15 season.
• UH is 111-65 at home in head coach Laura Beeman's 12 seasons.
* UH drew the largest crowd of Beeman's tenure as head coach for "Beeman's Big Bash" on Feb. 17. The 5,068 tickets issued and 4,080 turnstile count for UH's 68-84 win over UC Santa Barbara were both highs in Beeman's UH career, passing the previous marks of 4,340 and 3,491 set on senior night in 2015. The program's overall attendance record for a stand-alone game stands at 6,192 (6,004 turnstile) set on Feb. 14, 1998.
• UH's home attendance average of 2,188 (tickets issued) this season is the highest in the Big West followed by Cal Poly at 1,061.
• The Rainbow Wahine are 309-189 in the arena since its opening in the 1994-95 season. UH picked up the program's 300th win in SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center with a victory over Idaho State on Nov. 25.
