Women’s Golf Adds Two Signees For 2025-26

HONOLULU – University of Hawai'i women's golf coach Julie Brooks announced the signing of a pair of high school prospects – Kaydence Kim and Chloe Ku – for the 2025-26 season.

"Both players will add to our depth and the future of Hawai'i golf is very bright," Brooks said.

Kim is a four-year all-league performer at Harvard-Westlake High School in California. The Porter Ranch, Calif., native was named MVP as a junior and team captain during her senior season. In 2024, she shot 5-under 67 in the league finals and 3-under 69 at the CIF Division I Championship. She placed first in the 15-18 division at the SCPGA 2-Day at Menifee Lakes shooting 73-73=146. Kim also won the SCPGA 2-Day at River Ridge event, carding 70-76=146.

"Kaydence is a great player and will make an immediate impact on the team," Brooks said. "Her power off the tee sets her up for good scoring opportunities. She loves to play golf and is always wanting to get better. I am excited to have her join the team."

Ku was named to the all-league team three times at Dougherty Valley High School in San Ramon, Calif., where she helped her squad win the league championship for the first time since 2019. She captained the team during her senior year and led Dougherty to its second sectional title while placing in the top five in eight events. During her junior year, she was runner-up at the league championship and won six junior golf titles including at the Sacramento State Fair Junior Championship. She was the recipient of the JGANC Girls Player of the Year Award in 2024.

"Chloe is a great player and has the ability to go low," Brooks said. "She is a very consistent player and I look forward to watching her grow as a player. I am excited she chose to come to Hawai'i."
