FRESNO, Calif. — The University of Hawai'i women's dive team will open the 2024-25 season at the Fresno State Invite Friday through Saturday (Oct. 4-5) at the Fresno State Aquatics Center in Fresno, Calif.
Competition begins at 8 a.m. HT on Friday and 7 a.m. HT on Saturday. Former University of Hawai'i swimmer and graduate assistant, Steve Allnutt will be making his head coaching debut for the Rainbow Warriors and Rainbow Wahine in a five-team meet that includes San Diego State, San José State, Washington State and host Fresno State.

Both the men's and women's swim and dive teams will be members of The Big West beginning in 2024-25. The Rainbow Wahine will be rejoining The Big West conference after being members of the PCAA from 1986-87 then the BW from 1988-96. It will mark the team's 10th year in The Big West.
Senior Isabella Plantz and sophomore Ruby Pickron will lead the way for the Rainbow Wahine diving team. Plantz earned All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) first team honors in three events last season and placed in the top five in three events at the MPSF Championships. As a freshman, Pickron earned three All-MPSF honors including a first team honor in the platform dive. Pickron posted a second place finish in the platform dive at the MPSF Championships.
Key losses for the Rainbow Wahine include standout divers Elma Lund and Isabelle Lombardi who combined for seven All-MPSF first team honors and three gold medals in the MPSF Championships a season ago. Lund also claimed last season's MPSF Women's Diver of the Year honor.
