SPOKANE, Wash. – The Hawai'i women's track & field team capped off a strong opening weekend of competition at the Spokane Indoor Showcase with more program top 10 marks and a number of standout performances.
The Rainbow Wahine throwers got the day off to a strong start as all three UH athletes in the event made the finals, finishing in the top six.
Montserrat Montanes i Arbo led the way with a runner-up finish behind a toss of 16.21m (53-2.25) on her fifth attempt.
Hallee Mohr came in fourth with a mark of 15.60m (51-2.25) on her fourth throw while
Samaria Vital placed sixth behind 15.21m (49-11) toss on her fourth attempt.
A trio of UH sprinters combined for a stellar effort in the 200m dash, with all three posting new program top 10 marks. Freshman
Isabella Kneeshaw moved into second all-time at UH with a 24.89 to finish fourth in the race.
Sammie Gordon took over the No. 4 spot on the school top 10 list with a 25.05 while
Amy Warrington moved up to sixth in school history with a 25.27.

Emilie Kirk Langschwager delivered a top-10 performance in her first collegiate mile run. Langschwager moved into ninth on the Hawai'i top 10 list with a time of 5:06.20 and was the top collegiate finisher as the runner-up in the race.
Carlin MacFadden added another program top 10 mark, moving into No. 7 all-time in the 800m with a 2:15.70.
Warrington also climbed up the UH top 10 list in the 60m dash, beginning the afternoon with a 7.86 in the qualifying round to move into eighth all-time in program history.
Anna Marx delivered a personal best mark in the 60m hurdles, running a 9.20 in the prelims.
The Rainbow Wahine have a week off before returning to action for the UW Invite Jan. 26-27 in Seattle.
