— The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team (9-7, 1-3) looks to get back to its winning ways when it hosts UC Riverside (7-10, 2-3) on Saturday, Jan. 13. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.

PROMOTIONS
- Saturday night is Video Game Night, which is dedicated to those who love video games, including those on the team.
- Bank of Hawaii will be the sponsor of the game. Fans will be welcomed with folding fans and tattoos stuffed in fanny packs.
- 1,500 packs of Rainbow Warrior Basketball cards will be distributed between Gate A and Gate B.
- Fans should be on the lookout throughout the entire night as there will be multiple games dedicated to video games, including some big surprises.

GAME STORY LINES
- The Rainbow Warriors are 2-6 in its last eight games, including its fourth straight home loss with a 60-50 setback to UC Irvine on Thursday.
- The Highlanders meanwhile come to Honolulu seeking its first road win this season (0-8).
- UC Riverside has come out victorious in five of its last six visits to Honolulu and has held UH to 47.5 points per game in the last two visits. This will be just the third meeting between the teams in Honolulu since 2020.
- Bernardo da Silva notched his fifth double-double this season with 17 points and a career-high 14 rebounds in UH's loss to UCI on Thursday.
- The senior is averaging a near double-double in Big West play at 13.0 ppg and 9.8 rpg. He is shooting a league-best 69 percent in Big West games.
- UC Riverside leads the Big West and ranks 9th nationally in least turnovers per game (9.4). UH ranks first in the Big West and 74th nationally in scoring defense (66.4).
- UCR (27.2) and UH (24.1) are the top two teams in the Big West in 3-point attempts per game.
