HONOLULU — University of Hawai'i swimmers swept the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week awards on Wednesday with Rainbow Wahine graduate student

Mario Surkovic claiming his third.
Selling posted four top-three swims in a dual meet with No. 5 Ohio State on Saturday at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex. Selling placed second in the women's 200 freestyle with a time of 1 minute, 50.04 seconds and anchored the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay teams. She also placed third in the 100 free at 50.49 seconds.
Surkovic won two events for the UH men's team against the 14
th-ranked Buckeyes to claim his second MPSF award of the season. He touched the wall first in the 200 IM with a time of 1:48.72 and the 200 free (1:37.80). He also posted a third-place finish in the 100 free and anchored UH's 200 medley relay team.
Surkovic was earlier named MPSF Athlete of the Week on Nov. 22 and claimed the honor once last season.
The Rainbow Warrior and Rainbow Wahine swimmers will next compete in the MPSF Swimming Championships set for Feb. 21-24 in St. George, Utah. The Rainbow Wahine have won six of the last seven MPSF team titles and will seek to defend their crown. The UH men will pursue their first title since winning back-to-back championships in 2019 and '20.
