HONOLULU—The Big West has announced the 2024 University of Hawai'i softball team's conference schedule. The Rainbow Wahine will play 27 conference games with four home series and five away series.
The Rainbow Wahine will open their 2024 Big West slate with a three-game series at UC Santa Barbara (Mar. 15-16) before returning home to host their conference home opener against CSUN (Mar. 22-23). For the BW season, UH alternate home and away games every other week. The 'Bows end the month of March at UC San Diego (Mar. 29-30).
Hawai'i opens April at home against Cal Poly (Apr. 5-6) then travels to UC Riverside (Apr. 12-13). The Rainbow Wahine will return home to host CSU Bakersfield (Apr. 19-20) before hitting the road again against defending Big West champion, Long Beach State (Apr. 26-27). UH will then host its final home games of the season against Cal State Fullerton (May 3-4) and will celebrate Senior Day on May 4
th. The 'Bows end the regular season at UC Davis (May 10-11).
In 2023, Hawai'i recorded its second-straight winning season, reaching 30-wins for the first time since 2019. UH was led by second baseman
Maya Nakamura, who earned NFCA All-West Region third team honors after leading UH with a .390 batting average, 35 runs, 29 walks, and a .585 on-base percentage. Four other returnees earned All-Big West honors—catcher
Izabella Martinez (first team), shortstop Xiao Gin (honorable mention, designated player
Haley Johnson (honorable mention) and rookie pitcher Key-Annah Campebll-Pua (all-freshman).
