COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – University of Hawai'i outside hitter
Chaz Galloway was among 21 athletes selected for the 2023 U.S. Men's Collegiate National Team which will train in Anaheim, Calif., next week.
The San Diego, Calif., native is one of eight outside hitters on the team, coached by former BYU men's coach Chris McGown. He is also one of six players from Big West teams.
Galloway is coming off his best season as a Rainbow Warrior and was named an AVCA All-America honorable mention. The senior averaged 2.48 kills and 1.46 digs per set and hit .305 and was also picked first-team all-Big West. Galloway started 30 of the team's 31 matches and recorded double-digit kills in 11 matches.
This won't be the first time Galloway will be competing with the national program after he was selected to the U.S. Junior A1 national training team in high school.
