Six Rainbow Warriors Earn All-Big West Honors

HONOLULU – A trio of Hawai'i baseball players earned All-Big West recognition Thursday, as pitchers Harry Gustin and Harrison Bodendorf earned first-team honors while outfielder Matt Wong was named to the second team.

Additionally, three Rainbow Warriors received honorable mention recognition in infielders Kyson Donahue, Jacob Igawa and Stone Miyao.

Gustin was one of three starting pitchers to take home first-team honors while Bodendorf was one of three relievers to the first team. It marks the first time since 2006 that Hawai'i has had multiple first-team all-conference pitchers (Tyler Davis, Steven Wright). Bodendorf is also the first UH freshman pitcher to make either first or second team all-conference since 2005 (Darrell Fisherbaugh), and the first Rainbow freshman pitcher to make the first team since 1993 (Andrew McNally).

Wong earned all-conference recognition for the first time in his career and is only the second Hawai'i outfielder to earn first or second-team All-Big West honors (Adam Fogel, 2018 & 2021).

Donahue earned honorable mention recognition for the second straight year while Miyao was recognized for the second straight year after making the second team in 2022 and Igawa made honorable mention for the first time in his career.
