KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Laticia Transom capped off her incredible season by finishing in seventh place in the 100 yard freestyle on Saturday's final day at the NCAA Championships.
 
Transom earned All-America status and scored 11.5 points for the Rainbow Wahine, swimming a 47.50 in the finals to place tied for seventh, the best-ever finish for a UH swimmer in the event. The graduate transfer earned a spot in the championship final after lowering her school record in the event with a 47.39 in the prelims.
 
Hawai'i wrapped up the competition with the 400 yard freestyle as the squad of Holly Nelson, Transom, Anna Friedrich and Gabrielle Scudamore posted a time of 3:15.90 to come in 20th.
 
The 11.5 points that Transom scored in the 100 free put UH in 31st place overall in the team standings, making the Rainbow Wahine the highest finishing non-Power 5 school. It's also the first time that the Rainbow Wahine have scored points since 2019.
