KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Laticia Transom continued her historic season by posting the best-ever finish at the for a Hawai'i women's swimmer in the NCAA Championships 200 freestyle, finishing 22nd in Friday morning's prelims.
Transom swam a 1:44.99 in her heat of the prelims and is the highest-finishing non-Power 5 swimmer in the event. The previous best NCAA finish by a Rainbow Wahine swimmer in the 200 free came in 2017 when
Bryndis Hansen came in 38th.
The Rainbow Wahine close out action at the NCAA Championships Saturday beginning with Transom in the 100 free followed by the 400 free relay in the evening finals session.
