ATHENS, Ga. – The Hawai'i women's 200 free relay squad set the school record for the third time this year while also securing an NCAA B cut time on Saturday at the Georgia Last Chance Meet.
The Rainbow Wahine team of
Holly Nelson,
Laticia Transom,
Anna Friedrich and
Gabrielle Scudamore lowered the UH 200 free relay record for the third time this season with a mark of 1:29.20. Nelson opened with a 22.81 before Transom swam a blistering 21.50, followed by a 22.57 from Friedrich and a 22.32 anchor leg by Scudamore.
The same four also swam a time trial in the 400 free relay, looking to secure an NCAA A cut time, but came in with a 3:15.46 – less than a second off the mark. The Wahine already have met the NCAA B cut after swimming a 3:14.74 at the MPSF Championships.
