HONOLULU - The University of Hawai'i track and field team returns to Spokane, Washington, for the third and final time this season to compete in the MPSF Championships, hosted at The Podium to conclude their indoor season.
Â
Last year, the Rainbow Wahine secured their best finish in the MPSF, scoring 77 points to place third overall. The event a year ago allowed several 'Bows to record new personal bests, which they hope to break this year.

Junior
Alyssa Mae Antolin returns to The Podium, where she recently broke her own record in the 60m and turned in excellent performances in the 200m and 4 x 400 relay. A year ago, Antolin broke the UH record in the 200m at the indoor championship to later break it again this season in the same venue.Â
Â
Joining Antonin is fellow junior
Amy Warrington, who enters the championships after a strong showing two weeks in the WSU Open, where she posted a personal best in the 400m dash with a time of 57.77 while contributing to the 4 x 400 relay.Â
Â
Sophomore
Sammie Gordon has a chance in the pentathlon, where she finished fourth last season. Two weeks ago, against a stacked field of competitors at the WSU Open, Gordon placed at No. 8 with 3479 points after placing in the top 10 of three separate events.Â
Â
In the throws events, graduate
Victoria Solheim has led all performers through the indoor season in both the weight throw and shot put. She'll look to make an impact in her first career appearance at the MPSF Indoor Championships. Junior Montserrat Montantes I Arbo made a name for herself when she finished at No. 4 in the weight throw last year, a position she looks to improve this time.Â
Â
The two-day event will begin on Friday with multiple featured events, including the pentathlon, weight throw, long jump, pole vault, and 200m dash. Saturday will provide plenty of action with the high jump, shot put, 60m dash, 60m hurdles, and 4 x 400 relays scheduled for the morning and afternoon.Â
