HONOLULU—University of Hawai'i softball head coach Bob Coolen announced the signing of a seventh player for the 2025 season. Macy Brandl is a 5-10, right-handed pitcher out of Fullerton College. She will have three years of eligibility at Hawai'i.
 
Brandl throws between 57-61 mph with a screwball among other pitches in her arsenal. This past November, Brandl pitched for Fullerton College in UH's Fall Preseason Classic where she had six walks and 19 strike outs in 14.0 innings of work. She will play the 2024 season for the Hornets then transfer to UH in the Fall of 2024. She played for the Firecrackers TJ club team.
