Water Polo head to UC San Diego for Triton Invitational

HONOLULU - The University of Hawai'i women's water polo team returns to action this weekend with the Triton Invitational at UC San Diego. Hawai'i's scheduled to play its first round matches at the Canyonview Pool Aquatic Center.

The 'Bows take on fellow conference opponent CSUN to start their tournament. The two teams have not faced each other since a 15-2 UH win in 2019. The Rainbow Wahine currently leads the all-time series record 17-1. The Triton Invitational hosts the entirety of the Big West conference, giving us a teaser for later in the year.

Sophomore utility player Lara Luka earned her first weekly conference honor for her performance at the Michigan invitational two weeks prior. Luka leads the team with 13 points, including 12 goals and an assist.

The first sprint is slated for 8:40 a.m HT on Saturday. The remainder of the matches are determined based on game results. Time and matchup updates will be posted to hawaiiathletics.com.
