ATLANTA, Ga.—The University of Hawai'i swimming team put an end to their 2021-22 campaign at the Bulldog Invitational Sunday afternoon.
The two-day event hosted several college swimming teams for a last chance meet giving swimmers the opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Championships. Graduate
Anna Kotonen and freshman
Kathryn Ivanov competed on the women's side, while junior
Justin Lisoway and freshman
Tomer Goldfaden battled in the men's events.
Lisoway and Goldfaden competed in time trials of the 200 breast but their times weren't able to qualify them for the NCAA Championships. Ivanov had the same opportunity and same outcome in the same event.
Kotonen swam in the 100 free, placing 13th overall, finishing fifth in the B Final of the event.
While Sunday put an end to the swimming portion of the schedule, the divers still have the NCAA Zone E event to qualify for the NCAA Championships. The Zone E event will take place in Flagstaff, Arizona and the campus of Northern Arizona University from March 7th to the 9th.
