HONOLULU – Head coach Timmy Chang and the University of Hawai'i football program have announced the signing of more than two dozen prospects on the first day of the early signing period. The group currently includes seven four-year transfers, five junior college transfers, and 14 high school standouts.
- 17 signees are on the defensive side of the ball
- 11 states are represented including seven from the hometown state of Hawai'i
- Three international signees – one each from American Samoa, England, and Australia
- 12 signees play in the trenches – eight on the defensive line and four on the offensive line
- Five offensive skill positions, six defensive backs, and three linebackers
In addition to this year's signees, two from the Class of 2022 – linebacker
Malaki Te'o of Mater Dei High School and defensive lineman Lester Lagafuaina of American Samoa – will join the team in January. Both will enroll in the spring semester as grayshirts.

McComber totaled 23 sacks over his junior and senior seasons while Palmer was invited to compete in this year's Under Armour All-American Game.
The Portal is Open: The Warriors received commitments from five FBS transfers and two grad transfers. Three signees come from Power 5 teams –
Kuao Peihopa (Washington),
Patrick Hisatake (California) and
Steven McBride (Kansas). Peihopa prepped at Honolulu's Kamehameha Schools-Kapālama while Hisatake grew up on O'ahu before moving to Oregon to finish high school. McBride played in 24 games over three seasons at Kansas. Wyoming's
Cam Stone had two interceptions and 10 pass break-ups as a sophomore in 2022 while
Josh Atkins spent two seasons at Houston and has three years of eligibility remaining. A pair of grad transfers – Eastern Washington's
