SAN DIEGO, Calif.—Members of the University of Hawai'i women's tennis team continued action at the ITA Southwest Regional in San Diego, Calif..
 
In consolation doubles play, both of Hawai'i's pairs notched wins. UH's Nikola Homolkova and Klara Novakova cruised past UC Irvine's Jenna Schlatter and Alyssia Fossorier, 8-2. Madison Kim and Anna Kern combined to knock off Long Beach State's Mathilde Tranberg and Hana Becircovic, 8-3.
 
In singles consolation matches Satsuki Takamura and Kim were able to capture wins for Hawai'i. Kim knocked off UC Irvine's Larissa Teramura in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2. Takamura blanked UCI's Haily Huynh in the first set and doubled up on her in the second for a 6-0, 6-3 victory. UH's Homolkova won the first set but fell in the second to force a third set, super-tiebreaker against USC's Sloane Morra. Morra edged out Homolkova in the third, 5-7, 6-4, 1-0 (8).
