LAS VEGAS, NEV.- After a series of cancellations, the University of Hawai'i men's and women's swim and dive team will be returning to competition schedule this Friday and Saturday, for a dual meet against UNLV and Wyoming at the Jim Reitz Pool inside of Buchanan Natatorium.

The Wahine prepare to face off with defending MPSF Diver of the Year junior Daphne Wils and sophomore Elam Lund ready to take on springboard events. Graduate freestyle sprinter Anna Kotonen will be swimming in both freestyle and breaststroke events, while junior Anna Friedrich will be competing in the medley relay and 100 backstroke. 

The equally impressive Warriors' line-up will have junior Justin Lisoway and freshman Tomer Goldfaden ready to take on breaststroke and freestyle events. Las Vegas local senior Tim Newton alongside defending MPSF Diver of the Year senior Max Burman will be competing during the springboard events.  Senior Ian Venter, who had recently placed in the 2021 Toyota U.S. open, will also be swimming freestyle events, and his specialty backstroke events as well.

"I'm excited to see how our student-athletes react to the challenge," said head coach Marcus Guttmann. "I'm confident having some pressure will bring out our best, and I think we're going to see some great races and some great diving."
