LOUISVILLE, KY.—Six University of Hawai'i softball student-athletes were recently named National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division-I Scholar athletes.
Senior
Ashley Murphy was joined by juniors Cira Bartoletti and
Dallas Millwood, along with freshmen
Maya Nakamura,
Piper Neri, and Rachel Sabourin on the list of honorees. Receiving the honor is not easy as student-athletes must retain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale in both the 2020 fall semester and the 2021 spring semester.
Both Millwood and Nakamura continue to add to their impressive first-year campaigns. Nakamura, a true freshman in 2021, was named to the Big West Conference second team and All-Freshmen squad. While Millwood, a transfer from Nevada, was an honorable mention. Both were also tabbed with Big West Conference honors back in July.
