SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.—The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team's 2021fall season kicks off this 
week when senior Andre Ilagan and junior Axel Labrunie compete in the Battle in the Bay Classic 
hosted by the California Tennis Club in San Francisco, Calif.

Labrunie will be leading things off in the singles qualifying round which begins on Wednesday, Sept. 15. 
Ilagan will follow opening his season in the main draw, first round on Thursday, Sept. 16. The two will 
also combine to play in the doubles draw. All draws have yet to be released. 

The Battle in the Bay is an annual tournament that usually features only the top players over 10 DI schools. 
Hawai'i has been competing in the prestigious tournament in four of the last five seasons.
