Lindquist and Kotonen Notch MPSF Weekly Awards

HONOLULU-- After a strong showing in a dual meet with UNLV and Wyoming, the University of Hawai'i picked two MPSF weekly honors as junior Talon Lindquist and senior Anna Kotonen were selected as Male and Female Athletes of the week.

Lindquist was a multiple-event winner last week, where UH defeated both UNLV and Wyoming. He was the first to the wall in the 400 IM at 3:58.58 and 200 fly at 1:50.88 while finishing the 200 IM in 1:50.83. The recognition is the first career MPSF weekly award for Lindquist.

Kotonen won three individual events taking the 50 free at 22.89, 200 IM in 2:01.47, and 100 breast at 1:01.85. Each of those marks were season-bests in the MPSF. Kotonen also swam on the first-place 400 free relay (3:22.69), 400 medley relay (3:41.20), and 200 free relay (1:32.69), each setting marks for season-best relays in the MPSF. She added a third-place individual 200 free. The honor is the first career MPSF weekly award for Kotonen.
