Former University of Hawai'i receiver
Rico Bussey has been invited to the NFL Scouting Combine, which will be held in March with a modified version.
The NFL canceled the traditional event held annually in Indianapolis due to the coronavirus pandemic in favor of a mostly virtual event. Workouts will take place at individual pro days on college campuses while interviews with NFL personnel and media will be done virtually.
In his only season at Hawai'i after transferring from North Texas, Bussey appeared in eight games with 31 receptions for 274 yards and one touchdown. The Lawton, Okla., native had his most productive game in UH's season-opening win over Fresno State with eight catches for 86 yards. He scored his only touchdown of the season against San Jose State.
Bussey also showcased his skills to scouts at the 2021 Hula Bowl two weeks ago in which he led all receivers with four catches for 61 yards.
The NFL Draft runs April 29-May 1 in Cleveland.
