HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i Athletics Department announces the debut of Rooftop Pā'ina, an elevated pregame experience for Rainbow Warrior football home games. Replacing Pā'ina on the Path, this new location offers fans a centralized space to gather and celebrate before every home game.
 
Located on the fifth floor of the Zone 20 parking structure adjacent to the Clarence T.C. Ching Complex, Rooftop Pā'ina offers unmatched views of the stadium, Diamond Head, and the surrounding Mānoa valley. Rooftop Pā'ina begins three hours prior to kickoff and closes 30 minutes before the game starts. The event is free although a parking pass to park in the structure is required.
 
Over the past four seasons, fan surveys have consistently identified pre-game festivities as a key area for improving the Rainbow Warrior football game-day experience. In response, the athletics department has made it a priority this season to create a true college football pre-game atmosphere as close to the Clarence T.C. Ching Complex as possible—reducing walking for fans while providing a more comfortable, weather-protected environment in Mānoa.
  
Adding to the game day excitement, the football team will be dropped off at Dole Street and make their way directly through the Rooftop Pā'ina giving fans the perfect opportunity to line up and cheer on the Rainbow Warriors as they make their way to the stadium. The team is expected to arrive 2.5 hours prior to kickoff.
 
Rooftop Pā'ina includes:

• Live Entertainment: Fans can enjoy the Hawai'i's Finest concert series playing all season long.
• Local Vendors: A family-friendly environment where attendees can say "aloha" to local vendors and enjoy the pregame festival.
• Beer Garden: Unwind in the beer garden equipped with television monitors, allowing fans to catch college football games from across the country.
• VIP Experience: Fans can book a private VIP experience that includes food and beverage for up to 50 friends and family members getting ready for the game.

 
"Our ultimate goal is to make the atmosphere on campus as fun and as memorable as possible for Rainbow Warrior football," said Eric Mathews, Director of Marketing and Fan Experience. "By moving everything to the fifth floor of the parking structure, we have the chance to create more buzz and excitement right next to the stadium. We're going to do as much as we can to add even more elements to Rooftop Pā'ina throughout the season, helping fans make memories at every game."
 
For fans seeking a premium game day, the VIP Experience offers a shaded canopy area with unmatched views of the field. The package includes 50 guests, with the ability to purchase multiple 800-square-foot spaces in increments of 50 to accommodate larger parties.
