HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team moved up three spots following the second round of the Ron Moore Intercollegiate Saturday morning at the Highlands Ranch Golf Course.
The Rainbow Wahine are currently in ninth place heading into Sunday's final round with a 590 total. UH shot 296 on Saturday behind the trio of
Hana Mirnik (72), Hyeongji Kang (73) and
Focus Jonglikit (74). Kang, a freshman from South Korea, carded her second straight 73 and is tied for 24
th with a 2-over 246 total.
ETSU remains atop the team leaderboard at 9-under 567 however their dominant lead after Round 1 is down to just four strokes after Cal Poly's 284 put them at 571. ETSU's Tereza Melecka and San Francisco's Toni Sottile are tied atop the individual leaderboard at 5-under 139.
Mirnik, a junior from Slovenia, improved five strokes from her first round and is tied for 40
th at 149 along with teammate
Momo Sugiyama, a freshman from Australia, who shot 77. Jonglikit and freshman
Monica Johnson are tied for 70
th at 155.
The final round begins with a 9:00 a.m., shotgun start on Sunday.
