KĀNE'OHE, O'ahu – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team sits in ninth place following the first two rounds of the 35^th annual Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational Tuesday at the Kāne'ohe Klipper Golf Course in Marines Corps Base Hawai'i.
 
The Rainbow Wahine carded scores of 302 and 295 for a 597 total. Third-ranked Arizona State leads the team standings with a 12-under 564 total after consecutive rounds of 282. No. 45 TCU and No. 54 Ohio State are tied for second at 579 followed by No. 98 Stetson (587), and No. 50 San Diego State (588).
 
Individually, ASU's Linn Grant has a two-stroke lead at 6-under 138 over Kennesaw State's Tai Anudit (140). A group of three golfers are three strokes back at 3-under.
 
UH senior Megan Ratcliffe is tied for 13^th at 2-over 146 while junior Tyra Tonkham and is one stroke back at 3-over and tied for 19^th. Tonkham carded a second round 1-under 71 while Ratcliffe shot even par in her second round. Junior Sahara Washington posted rounds of 75 and 74 and is 5-over for the tournament and tied for 29^th.
 
Sophomore Haruka Shintani shot 77 and 80 for a 157 total and sophomore Zoey Akagi-Bustin carded 81 and 78 for a 159 total. 
 
Two Rainbow Wahine are competing as individuals – senior Malia Ebersberger (79-79) and freshman Kralyn Salazar (81-82).
 
The third and final round is scheduled for Wednesday with an 8:05 a.m. HT shotgun start.
