HONOLULU – University of Hawai'i football video coordinator
Olivia Vea is the recipient of the 2019-20 Collegiate Sports Video Association's Mountain West Video Coordinator of the Year.
Vea, who was selected by her peers within the conference, is now a finalist for the Bob Matey National Video Coordinator of the Year award, which will be announced at the annual CSVA banquet, May 14 in Minneapolis, Minn.
This past season, Vea completed her 10
th year on staff and fourth as the team's video coordinator. She began as a student manager in 2010 and after two years, she assumed a graduate assistant position, which allowed her to work closely with her passion of video. In 2015, she was promoted to video specialist, where she produced highlight videos and managed practices and game-day production and took over as video coordinator the following season.
She graduated from UH-Mānoa in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in creative media. She is a 2007 graduate of Kaimukī High School in O'ahu, where she got her start in athletics and media production.
