Riding the Momentum
The Rainbow Warriors enter 2026 riding the momentum of a nine-win season that was capped off with a thrilling Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl victory and featured two wins over Power 4 opponents. Head Coach
Timmy Chang, the reigning AFCA Region 5 Coach of the Year, returns a loaded roster brimming with high-level production.
The high-powered run-and-shoot offense is directed by quarterback
Micah Alejado and returns running back
Cam Barfield and standout wide receiver
Pofele Ashlock. On the other side of the ball, the defense will be anchored by key returners, including linebacker
Jamih Otis and defensive back
Elijah Palmer.
A Thrilling Home Slate
The 2026 season features a new-look Mountain West Conference. The Rainbow Warriors will host UNLV (Sept. 5) and New Mexico (Oct. 17)—both of whom finished atop the league standings last year.
Longtime rival San Jose State (Oct. 3) will also make the trip to Honolulu, along with one of the league's newest members, North Dakota State (Nov. 14), marking the first-ever matchup between the two programs. UH rounds out its home schedule with non-conference contests against New Mexico State (Sept. 12) and Sacramento State (Nov. 28).
Fans interested in purchasing individual games will be able to do so starting on Wednesday, Aug. 5 at 9:00 a.m. Season tickets are the best way to secure great seats now for the biggest games in advance.
