IRVINE, Calif. - Following her four-goal performance in Saturday's regular season finale, University of Hawaiʻi women's water polo junior Elyse Lemay-Lavoie earned Big West Player of the Week, it was announced on Wednesday by the conference office.

Helping the Rainbow Wahine clinch at least a share of the Big West regular season championship, Lemay-Lavoie's four goals guided the fifth-ranked 'Bows to a 15-9 victory over No. 11 UC Santa Barbara.

She had three first-half goals as the Rainbow Wahine sprinted to an 8-1 halftime lead before notching her fourth goal in the fourth quarter. Lemay-Lavoie also drew three exclusions for the 'Bows.

Next up for the Rainbow Wahine is the Big West Championship in Long Beach, Calif. UH will receive a first-round bye before competing in the semifinals on Saturday, April 27. The Big West Championship game is scheduled for Sunday, April 28 with an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament on the line.
