Game Notes:
  • The 2019 Outrigger Resorts Invitational celebrates its 25th anniversary. The four-team tournament began in 1995 and has featured six different champions.
  • UH has won eight Outrigger Invitational titles, most recently winning back-to-back crowns in 2016 & '17. Hawai'i's all-time Outrigger Invite record is 42-28.
  • UH (12-0) has not dropped a set this season and its 36-set win streak in the longest in NCAA history.
  • UH's 12-0 mark is one win shy of tying the program's all-time best start of 13-0 set by the 1996 squad. That team went on to finish 27-3 and was NCAA runner-up.
  • Ball State (9-8) has appeared in five Outrigger Invitationals, most recently in 2017 when it finished runner-up to UH. The Cardinals took third place in 1996 and 2011 and finished fourth in 1998 and 2008.
  • King (10-5) has one Outrigger appearance in 2016 when it lost all three matches to UH, Lewis, and Harvard.
  • Pepperdine (11-4) is making its Outrigger debut.
  • UH's needs two wins to reach the 300-win mark in the Stan Sheriff Center. Hawai'i's all-time record in the facility is 298-129 (.698) since 1995.
