Men's Basketball Opens Big West Tournament Versus Long Beach State

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team takes on Long Beach State in the Big West Tournament quarterfinals on Thursday, March 14 at the Honda Center. The fourth-seeded Rainbow Warriors and fifth-seeded 49ers will tangle in the final game of the evening at 8:30 p.m. PDT/5:30 p.m. HT

  • No. 4 seed Hawai'i opens the Big West Tournament with a quarterfinal matchup versus No. 5 seed Long Beach State.
  • Hawai'i swept the season series with the 49ers, including the team's first-ever Big West win at the Pyramid on February 7.
  • This will be the fourth tournament meeting in the last five years between the teams. UH beat LBSU in 2015 (quarterfinals) and '16 (championship) and fell to the 49ers in '17 (quarterfinals).
