GAME NOTES
• The last two weeks have been friendly to UH, winning three of the previous four games, including a season sweep of Cal Poly, along with a road win at UC Santa Barbara.
• Over those four games, UH has had a different leading scorer in three of those contest including senior guard
Leah Salanoa, junior guard
Courtney Middap, and sophomore guard
Jadynn Alexander.
• UH holds a 30-10 record over of UC Irvine, with the series dating back to 1985. The lapses in between the two programs occurred in the late '90s and mid-2000s. The two teams played multiple times with both being members of the Big West from 1985 to 1996, before UH departed for the Western Athletic Conference, and played just three times before UH rejoined the Big West in 2012. UCI swept the series last season snapping an eight-game win streak by UH.
• The series between UH and Long Beach State is neck-and-neck with UH holding a one-game advantage at 19-18. The two programs split their last four games in the series but before 2017, UH had won seven straight over The Beach.
TWINS WITH IDENTICAL NUMBERS
The 2018-19 season has been a special one for seniors Leah and
Lahni Salanoa as they have each etched their names in the record book for made three-point field goals. Ironically enough the duo is currently tied at No. 10 all-time with 91 made three-point field goals apiece. On the season alone,
Leah Salanoa has made 28 three-pointers, ranking her at No.9 in the Big West, but is currently No. 3 in three-point field percentage at 42 percent.
