SEATTLE – Wrapping up action at the MPSF Championships, the University of Hawaiʻi women's track and field team turned in a number of strong performances on Saturday at the Dempsey Indoor. Saturday's action concludes the indoor season for the Rainbow Wahine.
"We're pleased with the efforts on both days and look forward to the outdoor season with much anticipation," head coach
Tim Boyce said.
In the 400m,
Kristen LaCosse clocked in at 57.64, which is the third-fastest time indoors for the event in school history.
Natasha Currence was not far behind in 59.03, which is a personal best and the eighth best performance in UH's indoor track and field history.
LaCosse and Currence teamed with
Madee Harding and
Raion Black in the 4x400m relay to post a 3:53.93 finish. The time is good enough for fifth in UH's history book for the event indoors.
