RIVERSIDE, Calif.—The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team (2-1, 1-0 Big West) returns to action on their first mainland roadtrip of the year as they head off on a busy four-match road swing through southern California.
 
The Rainbow Wahine most recently played two matches in their first-ever trip to Japan. The 'Bows split their matches overseas, edging out Himeji University, 4-3 while falling by the same score at Sonoda University.
 
The 'Bows will open their roadrip with a pair of conference matches at UC Riverside  (2-2, 0-1 Big West) and at UC Irvine (0-0, 0-0 Big West) on Thursday, Feb. 14 and Friday, Feb. 15 respectively. For the Anteaters, this will be their opening match as their first three matches of the season were cancelled. Hawai'i will then head south to conclude their trip taking on San Diego State (5-1next Monday, Feb. 18 and then San Diego on Tuesday, Feb. 19. Three of the Aztec's five wins have come against Big West opponents. Their only loss thus far this season, came against BWC's Long Beach State.
 
On the trip to Osaka, Petra Melounova won both her singles matches to lead the 'Bows. But overall, UH's Maayan Sela, Michelle Pits and Alzbeta Houbova  all lead Hawai'i with three singles wins apiece. In doubles, the UH duo of Nikola Dolakova and Sela lead UH with a 5-4 overall record.
