Women's Tennis Battles Defending NCAA Champions, Stanford

KOHALA COAST, Hawai'i--The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team wraps up its Fall schedule, finishing 2019 against defending NCAA champions, Stanford on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 2:00 p.m. The Rainbow Wahine will host the Cardinal at the Fairmont Orchid's, Hawaii Tennis Center on the Kohala Coast on the Big Island of Hawai'i.

Leading the Rainbow Wahine into battle are UH's two ranked players. Junior transfer, No. 91 Bojana Markovic and sophomore transfer, No. 103 Satsuki Takamura (tied with Washington State's Melissa Ates) have both had strong performances this fall. Markovic most recently became the first Rainbow Wahine to ever be invited to the prestigious Intercollegiate Tennis Association's  (ITA) Fall Championships in Newport Beach, Calif. where she won her first round match against Duke's No. 18 Meible Chi before falling to Florida's No. 23 McCartney Kessler.
