TACOMA, Wash. – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team sits in ninth place following the first two rounds of the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational Monday at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club.
The Rainbow Wahine carded scores of 298 and 303 for a 601 total and sit in the middle of the pack of the 18-team tournament. Gonzaga is running away from the field with a 568 total, 19 strokes ahead of host Seattle U. and Grand Canyon (587).
Sophomore
Haruka Shintani is pacing the Rainbow Wahine at 2-over 146 following rounds of 1-under 71 and 3-over 75. The Japan native is in a tie for 14
th place, eight strokes off the lead held by Gonzaga's Quynn Duong, who shot consecutive rounds of 3-under 69.
Juniors
Sahara Washington and
Tyra Tonkham are tied for 36
th at 7-over 151 after each shot identical rounds of 75 and 76. Senior
Megan Ratcliffe is two strokes behind them at 153 and tied for 50
th while freshman
Kralyn Salazar is tied for 86
th at 160.
The third and final round is scheduled for Tuesday with an 8:00 a.m. PT start.
