GAME NOTES

• UH comes into the weekend following a 49-29 loss to defending Big West Conference tournament champions, CSUN. UH turned in one of its toughest offensive showings in recent memory, scoring single digits in three of four quarters while shooting 27 percent from the floor and 13 percent from beyond the three-point line. The game ranked No. 5 all-time in lowest scoring games for the Rainbow Wahine.

• Despite the shooting performance from beyond the arc, UH still ranks No. 1 in three-point field goal percentage within the conference at 34 percent over the first 16 games of the season. In three games against Big West opponents UH is shooting just 29 percent for seventh overall.

• In the all-time series against Cal Poly, the Mustangs hold a 10-7 record over the Rainbow Wahine and won the two games last season. Before the recent skid, UH took six straight against CP, spanning from 2015 to 2017.

• On the flip side, UH holds a 27-16 record all-time over UC Santa Barbara. The 'Bows took the final game of the series last season at home 73-64, but Gauchos had won the three previous contest. The last time UH won a game at the Thunderdome was on Feb. 6, 2016, with a final score of 63-62.

• The road visit to San Obispo and Santa Barbara will put UH against two of the top scoring threats in the Big West. Senior Devin Stanback of Cal Poly sits at No. 9 with 12.3 points per game, while UC Santa Barbara will feature junior Coco Miller the No. 4 scorer in the conference with 14.6 points per game.

A RETURN OF SORTS
Assistant coach Alex Delanian parted ways with UH following the 2015-16 Big West Conference tournament championship season and became the associate head coach at UC Santa Barbara under head coach Bonnie Henrickson. Delanian returned to UH after his two-year stint with the Gauchos, Saturday's game at the Thunderdome will mark Delanians first trip back since rejoining UH.
