GAME NOTES
Â
• UH dropped its first game of the season to Pepperdine on Nov. 6, 65-64. Junior forward
Makenna Woodfolk led the way with 18 points, as junior guard
Courtney Middap started at the point position playing a career-high 23 minutes, accounting for another career-high with 14 points.
Â
• The trip to California for the 'Bows will be their first road trip of season. The games against San Diego State and San Diego will be their second and third games in six days to open the season.
Â
• SDSU leads the all-time series with UH at 14-12 and has won the last two matchups in the series. The last game between the two squads was back in 2011 in Honolulu.
Â
• UH leads the all-time history over San Diego at 5-1. In 2017, UH took down the Toreros 64-63 in overtime in the championship game of the Bank of Hawai'i Classic in 2017.
Â
Can She Be the One?
In 30 games last season, guard
Sarah Toeaina led the 'Bows in scoring for 19 of the 30 contest, leaving a void for this year's squad on who could step up and be the go-to scorer. As a sophomore, forward
Makenna Woodfolk showed flashes of being able to carry the weight, leading the team in points for five games. After one game this season, Woodfolk may be the one to lead the pack as she notched 18 points in the season opener against Pepperdine.

Hit Your Free Throws
The charity stripe wasn't friendly to the Rainbow Wahine a season ago as they combined for 69 percent from the line. Only three players shooting more than 25 attempts on the team hit over 70 percent for the year. The opening game of the season may be a precursor of change as the 'Bows hit 25-of-29 for 86 percent on the night.
