Women's Basketball Adds Two Transfers for 2026-27 Season

HONOLULU — University of Hawai'i women's basketball coach Khalilah Mitchell announced the additions of two transfers to the Rainbow Wahine roster for the 2026-27 season.

Zyriah Price, a 6-foot forward, will join the 'Bows after playing two seasons at Siena. Liz Udeze, a 5-foot-6 guard, has also signed with UH coming out of Mt. San Antonio College. Both will join the Rainbow Wahine as juniors for the upcoming season.

Price, originally from Huntsville, Ala., appeared in 34 games in two seasons at Siena. As a freshman in the 2024-25 season, she made nine starts in 27 appearances and averaged 4.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. She recorded two double-doubles and set career highs with 17 points and 12 rebounds against Central Connecticut State. She shot 40.1% from the field in her two seasons with the Saints. Price earned athletic and academic accolades at Hazel Green High School in Huntsville and helped lead the team to two state championships.

Coach Mitchell on Zyriah Price: "We are thrilled to welcome Zyriah into our ʻohana. Her athleticism and rebounding ability will translate immediately to the Mountain West, and her ceiling is high. She's an extremely talented young woman, and we can't wait for our community to watch her grow in a Rainbow Wāhine uniform."

Udeze made the 3C2A All-State Tournament team and earned All-South Coast Conference honors at Mt. SAC. She started all 31 games and averaged 13.2 points per game while shooting 50.8% from the field in the 2025-26 season. She also averaged 5.6 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game. She had four games of 20-plus points with a high of 27. Udeze was a standout at Silverado High School in Victorville, Calif., and led the Desert Sky League with 23.4 points per game as a senior.

Coach Mitchell on Liz Udeze: "Liz is a dynamic point guard with an exceptional ability to see the floor and score in the mid-range. She's smart, she's athletic, and she makes everyone around her better. We're thrilled to welcome her into our ʻohana, and we can't wait for our fans to see her in a Rainbow Wāhine uniform."
