College Station, Tx.—The University of Hawai'i men's and women's swim team went to Texas A&M looking to build momentum for the second half of the season, and now have plenty to grow from of as both squads continue to improve as a unit.

UH will now prepare for the USA Swimming Championships in late November, early December.

Day 1:
Highlights: Men
•Finished the day at No. 3 overall behind host Texas A&M and LSU.
•The 200-yard freestyle relay finished at No. 4 with seniorsÂ
Reed Wynn and Max Cadiat, juniorÂ
Mateusz Chaba, and sophomoreÂ
Franz Adam.
•In the 400-yard medley relay the squad of seniorsÂ
Metin Aydin and Wynn, along with sophomoresÂ
Olli Kokko and Chaba placed at No. 2 overall just four second shy of the Texas A&M squad.

•JuniorÂ
Phoebe Hines took a first-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle touching the wall with a time of 4:38.11.
•SophomoreÂ
Anna Kotonen placed at No. 9 in the 200-yard individual medley but won her finals heat of eight with a time of 2:01.27
•The 400-yard medley relay team of seniorÂ
Bryndis Hansen, along with the sophomore trio ofÂ
Karolina Hajkova,Â
Kionna Clayton, andÂ
Lucia Lassman snatched a No. 2 finish with a time of 3:34.56, a 13-second improvement from their prelim time.

Day 2
Highlights: Men
•After 24 events UH sit comfortably in the No. 3 position as a team and remain within striking distance of No. 2 LSU with one day to go in the competition.
•Captured another No. 2 overall finish, this time in the 200-yard medley relay with the squad of Aydin, Kokko, Chaba, and Wynn finishing with a time of 1:27.08.
•Kokko would not be denied finishing at No. 1 in the 100-yard breaststroke at 52.70.

Highlights: Women
•Currently, sitting in the No. 4 spot after 24 events, but with a solid third day, UH could potentially jump up to No. 2 spot trailing but just 38 points.
•The 200-yard medley relay team shined behind the efforts of seniorÂ
Kasey Schmidt, along with three sophomores Hajkova, Clayton, and Lassman with a No. 1 finish, narrowly beating the LSU team by half a second at 1:38.35.
•Lassman snatched a No. 2 finish in the 100-yard butterfly, narrowly missing the No. 1 spot by half a second.
•In the 100-yard butterfly, Clayton placed at No. 4 with a time of 1:00.37.
•The 100-yard backstroke belonged to Hajkova as she places at No. 1 overall touching the wall at 52.39.
•Hansen, Schmidt, Hines, and senior Silvia Djelic collected a time of 7:14.34 in the 800-yard freestyle relay, a time of 18 seconds better than their prelim time, with a final of 7:14.34 for a No. 2 overall finish.

Day 3
Highlights: Men
•Finished at No. 3, matching closely with No. 2 LSU and surpassing Air Force and SMU.
•Follows and Aydin finished at No. 4 and No. 5 of the 200-yard backstroke, just one second apart.
•Wynn worked his way into the finals of the 100-yard freestyle where he finished at No. 5 overall. He and one other in the final heat were the only two not to be wearing a Texas A&M cap.
•Kokko notched a No. 2 place finish in the 200-yard backstroke at 1:56.08, nearly two seconds better than his prelim finish.
•Junior
David Springhetti teamed up with Chaba, Adam, and Wynn in the 400-yard freestyle relay at the No. 3 position behind two Texas A&M squads and ahead of LSU at 2:57.70.

•Wrapped up the final day at the No. 4 spot with a total score of 548.50
•Hines claimed her second No. 1 finish taking the gold in the 1650-yard freestyle, finishing just over 25 seconds ahead of the No. 2 finisher.
•Hajkova, captured a No. 2 finish in the 200-yard backstroke, touching the wall at 1:54.42.

Austin, Tx.— The University of Hawai'i diving squad faced some of it's toughest competition this season and came out with a strong showing as the men's team cracked the top-eight on the third final day of competition. Next UH will look to January with the Wally Nakamoto Diving Invite for their next set of competition. Â

•As a team, cracked the top eight in the final day, finishing at No. 7 overall.
•
Johan Sandell saved his best for last in the platform dive, ranking in the top eight at No. 6 with a final score 358.40.
•Junior
Lucas Cooperman placed just behind Sandell in the platform dive at No. 12 for a final score of 277.60.
•Sandell led the UH pack at No. 10 in the three-meter dive, accounting for a score of 346.60.
•Freshman
Max Burman registered his highest finish in the three-day event at No. 15 in the three-meter dive.
•Junior
Grant Newcombe placed the highest at No. 11 in the prelims of the one-meter with a score of 295.65.
•Sandell finished at No. 15 in the one-meter dive with a score of 284.90.

•Sophomore Ivy House and senior
Monica Gavaris turned in solid performances in the platform dive making the championship round. Houser finished at No. 10, with Gavaris etching a No. 13 finish.
•Houser led the pack of Rainbow Wahine in the three-meter dive at No. 21 overall with a score of 265.70.
