Biography

2018-19 (Senior):
  • Awards and Honors: Garnered six all-MPSF awards including five first-team honors: 200 Medley Relay, 200 IM, 400 Medley Relay, 100 Y Back and 200 Y Back and selected second-team recognition in the 400 Free Relay. Recipient of the Corey Carroll Most Valuable Swimmer Award and named MPSF Athlete of the Week (). Earned MPSF All-Academic Honors.
  • vs. CSU Bakersfield (Oct. 18-20): registered a pair of top-finishes in the timed finals of the 100 Y IM (50.62) and 400 Y IM (3:54.74). Swam the 50 Y Back to a second-place finish with a time of 23.15.
  • Roadrunner Invite (Oct. 20): put together three top-three finishes, including two first-place finishes in the 200 Y Back (1:47.21) and 200 Y IM (1:51.97). Nabbed runner-up in the 200 Y Fly (1:52.22) and finished the 100 Y Back with a time of 49.15 but did not place.
  • Art Adamson Invitational (Nov. 14-16): on the opening day competed in the 200 Y IM, producing a sixth-place finish (1:46.71). The next day, competed in the timed final of the 50 Y Back (22.46) and tallied a second-place finish in the prelims of the 400 Y IM (3:51.44). Closed out the invitational, registering a sixth-place finish in the 200 Y IM (1:46.71).
  • vs. Minnesota (Jan. 12): collected two first-place finishes in the timed finals of the 100 Y Back (48.51) and 200 Y IM (1:50.94). Notched a runner-up finish in the timed finals of the 200 Y Back (1:45.80) and finished the 50 Y Back with a time of 22.84 but did not place.
  • MPSF Championships (Feb. 20-23): earned three 1st-place finishes in the 100 Y Back (46.23), 200 Y Back (1:41.02) and 200 Y IM (1:44.15) to guide the Rainbow Warriors to a first-place finish. Also competed in the timed finals of the 50 Y Back and 100 Y Back, earning a personal best time in the 50 Y Back (21.28) and season-best time in the 100 Y Back (46.82).
  • NCAA Championships (Mar. 28-30): competed in four preliminary events (50 Y Back, 100 Y Back, 200 Y Back and 200 Y IM). On day one, picked up an 18th place finish in the 200 Y IM (1:43.32) and swam the 100 Y Back with a time of 46.73 but did not place. Followed that performance, finishing 29th in the 100 Y Back (46.24) and swimming the 50 Y Back in a time of 21.68 but did not place. Finished 23rd in the 200 Y Back (1:41.25) on the final day.
2017-18 (Junior): 
  • Awards and Honors: Named 2018 MPSF Swimmer of the year, while also earning five all-MPSF honors, three of which are first team accolades: 200 IM, 200 Fly and 50 Free. He also garnered second-team honors in 200 Medley Relay and 400 Free Relay. NCAA championship honorable mention All-American honors
  • vs. CSU Bakersfield (Oct. 28): recorded two first-place finishes in the 100 Y Fly (49.05) and 200 Y Fly (1:51.12)
  • vs. UC Santa Barbara (Oct. 29): finished top three in three events, placed third in the 200 Y Back (1:47.01), second in the 100 Y Back (48.99) and first in the 200 Y IM (1:50.34)
  • Art Adamson Invitational (Nov. 16-18): started the invitational finishing sixth-best in the 200 Y IM (1:46.77), on the next day finished third in the 100 Y Back (46.94), finished the last day of the invitational second in the 200 Y Back (1:41.63)
  • vs. Purdue (Jan. 2): finished in the top two in three events, placing second place in the 100 Y Back (49.33) and 200 Y IM (1.51.75), won the 200 Y Back (1:47.56)
  • vs. Minnesota (Jan. 6): placed first in all three events competed in, 100 Y Back (49.15), 200 Y Back (1:46.53), and 400 Y IM (3:59.38)
  • MPSF Championships (Feb. 14-17): Earned a total of three 1st place finishes, helping the Rainbow Warriors to a second place finish. Earned his first gold medal on the second day winning the 200 IM with a time of 1:44.14, the next day wracked up another gold medal performance winning the 100 backstroke with a time of 46.76, finishing off winning his third gold medal recording a time of 1:41.52 in the 200 breaststroke
  • NCAA Championships (Mar. 22-24): recorded three personal best times in the 100 Y Back (46.06), 200 Y IM (1:43.16), and finished 11th in the 200 Y Back (1:39.59)
2016-17 (Sophomore):
  • Awards and Honors: CSCAA Honorable Mention All-America (200 IM), MPSF Men’s Swimmer of the Year, MPSF Men’s Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week (Oct. 12, Nov. 23, Jan. 11), First-Team All-MPSF (200 medley relay, 200 IM, 400 medley relay, 100 back, 200 back), Second-Team All-MPSF (800 free relay, 400 free relay)
  • vs. Arizona (Oct. 8): Swam opening leg of 3rd-place 200 medley relay (1:26.48), 1st-place in 100 back (48.74), 1st-place in 200 back (1:48.92), 1st-place in 200 IM (1:51.81)
  • vs. Drury/Minnesota (Jan. 7): Swam first leg of 2nd-place 200 medley relay (1:31.55), finished 2nd in 100 back (48.28), 1st-place in 200 back (1:48.63), 1st-place in 200 IM (1:49.86)
  • vs. Simon Fraser (Jan. 8): Swam second leg of 2nd-place 400 medley relay (3:30.11), 1st-place in 400 IM (3:59.31), 1st-place in 200 breast (2:03.13)

  • Georgia Bulldog Last Chance Invitational (Feb. 25-26): Swam 200 back (1:41.03), 200 IM (1:45.99), 100 back (46.50), 400 IM (3:47.12)
  • NCAA Championships (March 15-18): Finished 15th in 200 IM (1:43.32), 19th in 100 back (46.27), and 18th in 200 back (1:41.02)
Prior to UH:
