Hawai‘i Swim & Dive Hits The Road

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i swimming and diving teams will open the 2017-18 season in California this weekend.

The Rainbow Wahine will compete against CSU Bakersfield and Idaho in Bakersfield, Calif., on Oct. 28 before splitting up for a swim competition at MPSF-rival UC Santa Barbara and a diving meet at UCLA on Oct. 29.

The UH women held off second-place UC Santa Barbara to claim the MPSF Championship in February, and both teams look to be strong again in 2017-18.

The Hawai'i men will face CSU Bakersfield on Oct. 28 and mirror the Wahine on Oct. 29 with swimming facing UC Santa Barbara and diving visiting UCLA.

It will be the first of two competitive weeks for the Hawai'i programs this fall. The Rainbow Warriors and Rainbow Wahine will both compete in the Texas A&M Invitational Nov. 16-18 in College Station, Texas, against some of the nation's top competition.
