IRVINE, Calif.-The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team got back on the winning track as they swept UC Irvine on Saturday at the Anteater Tennis Stadium.

The Rainbow Wahine captured the doubles point to start the match. No. 3 Paulina Petriskova and Marina Hruba defeated Cassidy Branstine and Mazy Watrous, 6-2. But UCI evened things as they won on the No 1 court with Sarah Gong and Stephanie Hazell downing UH's Sarah Gealer and Klara Pribylova, 6-2. Hawai'i's No. 2 duo of Roxanne Resma and Cindy Nguyen held off UCI's Andrea Duva and Vivien Dvali by a break to take the doubles point.

In singles, it was the middle of UH's lineup that came through for the 'Bows. Resma almost blanked Branstine, winning 6-0, 6-1 on the No. 5 court. No. 4 Pribylova followed by knocking off Watrous, 7-5, 6-3 and Gealer clinched the match with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Hazell at No. 3.

Hawai'i remains on the road and will play their third straight match in California on Sunday against old WAC rival Fresno State.
