Tip-off is 4:10 p.m. PT (1:10 p.m. HT) at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.
The Rainbow Warriors (28-5), the South Region's 13
th-seed, recorded a program-best 28
th win on Friday after defeating fourth-seed California, 77-66, in a first round match-up. The fifth-seeded Terrapins (26-8) got past 12
th-seeded South Dakota State, 79-74. The winner advances to the Sweet 16 next week in Louisville, Ky.
UH held a 90-minute walk-through practice Saturday at the Spokane Arena while head coach
Eran Ganot and members of the team participated in various media obligations. As one of the tournament's Cinderella teams, the team has garnered numerous national media interest, including
Quincy Smith's appearance on ESPN's SportsCenter Friday night. Smith, guard
Roderick Bobbitt and forward Michael Thomas also met with CBS announcers Spero Dedes, Doug Gottlieb, and Ros Gold-Onwude at the conclusion of the practice.
Coached by Mark Turgeon, the Terrapins finished third in the Big Ten Conference and lost to Michigan State in the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament.

Game Day Storylines- UH is making its fifth NCAA Tournament appearance in program history (1972, '94, 2001, '02, '16), the fourth as a conference tourney champion and first as the Big West Conference representative.
- UH won its first-ever NCAA Tournament game with a 77-66 victory over California, Friday. The 'Bows are 1-4 all-time in the NCAA Tournament and this year's No. 13 seed is tied for the lowest in four previous appearances.
- UH's 28 wins is the most in program history, surpassing 27 wins by the 2001-02 squad, the last NCAA Tournament team who lost to Xavier in the first round of the 2002 Tournament and finished with a 27-6 final record.
- UH in entering its third week on the road having left Honoluu, March 1 for road games at UC Davis (March 3) and at Long Beach State (March 5) and last week's Big West Tournament (March 10-12) in Anaheim, Calif.
- UH and Maryland have met twice previously with the Terrapins winning both times, including the last meeting, Dec. 29, 1996 in the semifinals of the Outrigger Rainbow Classic in Honolulu (76-59).
- UH head coach Eran Ganot (34) is the second youngest coach among the remaining teams in the NCAA Tournament field. The youngest, VCU's Will Wade (33), is 14 months younger than Ganot.
UH-Cal Post-Game Notes- UH led 36-30 at the half, improving its reord to 21-1 when leading at halftime this season.
- UH's eight assists were a season-low.
- The win over 23rd-ranked Golden Bears was the third all-time over a nationally ranked team at either a road or neutral site (3-40).
- UH is the first Big West team to advance to the Round of 32 since Pacific in 2005.
- The minus-9 rebounding differential was UH's largest in a win.
- Guard Quincy Smith scored a career-high 19 points and converted a career-best 7-of-8 from the free throw line.
- UH is now 9-3 when shooting under 30 percent from 3-point range this season.
- UH held the lead for the final 30:36 of the game.
